Questions drivers ask
Straight answers about coverage, cost, privacy, and what happens next.
If I am a company driver/employed, will my company know I am getting coverage?
No. We do not contact your company to tell them you asked about coverage. This is your choice. If you buy your own policy, it is separate from your job benefits.
Can I keep my policy if I change jobs?
Yes. Plans offered through Operators Advantage are individually underwritten, which means the policy is owned by you - not your employer (if you are currently employed with a company). That means you can keep your coverage if you change jobs, leave a company, or move, as long as premiums are paid and the plan is available in your state.
How much does coverage cost?
It depends on the type of plan, your age, your state, and the benefit amount you choose. We help you look at options that fit your budget. You do not have to buy anything.
How long does the checkup take?
Most drivers can finish it in about 2 to 3 minutes. Our Driver Protection Checkup asks a few simple questions so we know what kind of help you need first.
Is there any obligation?
No. The Driver Protection Checkup is free. We explain your options in plain language (English and Spanish). We also have Spanish-speaking team members. You choose what to do next.
What if I have health issues or was denied before?
Do not count yourself out. Some options do not ask medical questions. Some life insurance options may offer guaranteed acceptance if you meet basic rules. Costs, benefits, and eligibility vary by plan, carrier, and state.
More questions drivers ask
Plain answers. No insurance talk.
Can owner-operators and company drivers both use this?
Yes. Operators Advantage is built for owner-operators, leased-on drivers, company drivers, small fleet owners, and driver families. You do not need your own authority to apply for coverage.
Can I buy coverage on my own if work benefits are not enough?
Yes. Some drivers buy their own coverage because they want protection they can keep regardless of where they work. We can help you review options that are owned by you, not your company.
What kinds of coverage can you help with?
We can help with disability, accident, critical illness, life, health and Medicare questions, dental, vision, hospital supplemental plans, retirement stability, and more. We also have a valuable referral partner for business and truck insurance.
Do I have to know what coverage I need before I start?
No. That is the point of the Driver Protection Checkup. You can tell us what worries you most, and we'll help make your next step clear.
Do you replace my work benefits?
Not always. Some drivers use their own coverage to fill gaps or add protection they can keep. We can help you compare what you already have with what you may still need.
Are there plans with no medical questions?
Yes, we offer some options that do not ask medical questions. Some life insurance options may have guaranteed acceptance if you meet the basic rules. The right fit depends on your state, age, and the product.
What happens after I submit the checkup?
A real person reviews your answers from the Driver Protection Checkup. Then we explain possible next steps in plain language (English and Spanish). You decide what to do next.
Can you help with Medicare questions?
Yes. We can help you understand Medicare timing questions, especially if you are still working, self-employed, or covered through a spouse or partner. Medicare rules can depend on your work situation and employer size.
Is my information private?
Yes. Your information stays private. We only use it to follow up with you about your Driver Protection Checkup and the options we discuss. We have been working with drivers like you for over 20 years and pride ourselves in being compliant and looking out for your best interests. We do not ask for an employer name in the basic checkup.
Can I talk to a real person instead of filling out the checkup?
Operators Advantage is a marketing, education, lead-intake, and referral website. Product availability, pricing, benefits, and eligibility vary by carrier, state, policy terms, and situation.
